Welcome Back

July 9, 2018

Dear Families and Students,

My name is Mr. Andre Gillespie and I am honored to have been selected as the new principal of Sacaton Middle School.  I began my educational career nearly twenty years ago as an elementary physical education then moving on to become a middle school Spanish teacher.  During my teaching experience, I earned a Master’s of Science in Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  My administrative leadership experience spans over both elementary and middle schools in very large, diverse public school districts across the country.

It is exciting to join the leadership of Sacaton Elementary School District and continue to build positive relationships with families and students. We are committed to the success of each child’s education through our mindset of “Magnify the Possibilities.”  In magnifying the possibilities, we look forward to increased “I can do” attitudes and taking ownership for success.  Through supportive collaborations between school and home, we will position ourselves to achieve a high level of success for all.

Below are several important dates that you will need to mark on your calendar:

  • August 2   Meet the Teacher Night

         4:30-6:30 p.m.

  • August 6   First Day of School for All Students (full day)

         7:55 a.m.-3:20 p.m.

Again, I am looking forward to working with everyone as we work toward higher academic success for our students.

Warm Regards,

 Mr. Andre Gillespie, M.Ed

Sacaton Middle School Principal

Welcome to Sacaton Middle School

Here at Sacaton Middle School we pride ourselves on a tightly knit staff who is dedicated to  furthering the students' education so that they will be ready to someday attend one of the local high schools and eventually earn their high school diploma. Like the elementary school, our class sizes are small so that each student can receive small group or one-on-one instruction when needed. Our 17 highly-qualified teachers and 5 teacher aides help to see that the 225 students who pass through our doors each day are safe and ready to learn. Each day the students remain focused by practicing their 3 Be’s: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, And Have A Learner's YES Attitude!

A very productive school year is drawing to a close. Before we launch into summer break, it is fitting to take a moment or two to reflect on our accomplishments. First, I want to recognize each and every staff member for the dedication, talent, energy and care you bring to school each day. Educating our students for a successful future is important and influential work. We continue to focus on improvement and finding ways to leverage our resources—people, time, dollars and relationships—toward boosting success for students and creating the system of strong and excellent schools of which our community can be justifiably proud. Together, we are making a visible difference for our students, families and community.      Read more from Mrs. Paul.
