Online Learning

SESD Distance Learning

In-Person learning will not occur before March 22. When In-Person learning is permissible SESD will offer two instructional models for the entire school year that prioritizes quality learning experiences for all students: Online Learning and In-Person Learning (outlined in the Teaching and Learning Framework). Technology devices are available to all SESD registered students. We have encouraged students to hold on to technology devices during summer and intersessions (holidays) to continue the learning. To schedule an appointment to check out an iPad (PreK), or Chromebook (K-8), please contact your child’s school at 520-562-8600!

SESD families started the 2020-2021 school year learning remotely. Teachers provide instruction in core content areas through Google Classroom and curriculum software. Students may be supported by a different teacher than their assigned In-Person Learning teacher. Students will be able to interact with classmates and staff through interactive videoconferencing. All SESD students (PreK-8) have been provided with technology devices. Internet Jetpacks (WiFi devices) have been distributed based upon need. In the situation that a student is unable to access online learning, both schools will provide a designated location (gymnasium and/or media center) once on-site learning is permissible. We are prepared to deliver high-quality learning opportunities. For more information, please visit the
Health and Safety webpage to view Return to School Plans and recent communications.
