The Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Department is responsible for the development and maintenance of curriculum throughout Sacaton Elementary School District, including research, implementation of new programming, professional development, educational alignment tools, as well as many of the intervention programs and assessment tools used in our district.

2024-2025 English Language Arts Curriculum Adoption

Purpose: The purpose of the English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum textbook adoption committee is to review, evaluate, and recommend quality and appropriate textbooks and instructional resources for approval by the district Governing Board.

The process for textbook and instructional material adoption is important for teachers, students, and parents. In accordance with Arizona statute, Policy 15-721, SESD follows a structured process for curriculum review and recommendation for adoption by the Governing Board.
