Can you believe it’s already time to come back? I hope your summer gave you the break you needed to recharge and spend time doing the things you love with the people who matter most.
I’m thrilled to begin my 14th year in education as your new principal at Sacaton Middle School! It’s an honor to serve this amazing community, and I’ve already been deeply moved by the warm welcome and support I’ve received. Thank you.
As I step into this role, I’m fully aware that our school is currently rated a “D.” That might sound discouraging—but from where I stand, it simply means it’s time for bold change. And yes, change can be scary—but we’re the BRAVES, and Braves embrace the new.
I believe in our students. I believe that each of you is capable of meeting high expectations and showing meaningful growth—in academics, in character, and in your personal goals. This year, it’s all hands-on deck as we work together to transform Sacaton into a place where learning happens for every student, every day, the BRAVES way.
Middle school can be a tough transition—we know that. But you're not alone. Our team is committed to walking with you every step of the way, helping you discover who you are, what you love, and what you’re capable of achieving. The energy you bring to campus makes Sacaton a special place, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish this year.
Our phones have been ringing, and we’ve been connecting with families to make sure everyone is enrolled and ready. If you have not had a chance to enroll, have questions, etc., we are here to help you. Behind the scenes, our staff has been working hard to create a learning environment that’s engaging, supportive, and focused from day one.
As we begin this new year—and this new chapter—my top priority is to build a school culture where we are ALL prepared, empowered, and ready to work together.
Let’s do this, Braves!
Yours in partnership,
Claudia Dominguez, M.Ed.
