The Sacaton Elementary School District #18 is proud to announce that our 2nd Annual BE BRAVE: Anti-Bully Boo Parade was a tremendous success! This year’s celebration brought students, staff, families, and community members together to spread a powerful message of kindness, courage, and unity against bullying.
A major highlight of the event was the debut of “The Bully Mash” — an original anti-bullying song written and illustrated by Mr. Bob Lewandowski and sung and arranged by our very own music teacher, Mr. Jordan Santos. The video was played three times, and the crowd loved every moment!
Leading the festivities was none other than our Master of Ceremonies, Pirate Captain Ye Bebrave, who guided the school through a fun and meaningful anti-bullying adventure. The event featured no-good bully zombies walking the plank off the ship Resilience into the Sea of Kindness, as students eagerly took aim at a drench machine that poured the waters of kindness over the bullies!
Special thanks to Board President Karen White and Board Clerk Lucinda Hendricks, who joined the fun by handing out treats to students. Our incredible staff also rose to the occasion — volunteering for the dunk tank, distributing candy, and helping Captain Ye Bebrave round up those bully zombies!
The celebration concluded with a spirited performance of our school song, “School of the Braves,” also written, performed, and produced by Mr. Santos.
It truly was a great day to be a BRAVE!
