Sacaton Elementary and Sacaton Middle School students… it’s that time of year again! The 2nd Annual “BETTER WATCH OUT!” Assembly is on its way, and we’re getting ready to celebrate YOU — your growth, your grit, and your greatness!

The Babcock Tribute Tree Celebration
The Tribute Tree celebration is named in honor of the late Steve Babcock, who served our students for over 20 years as an educator here in the Sacaton Elementary School District. Mr. Babcock embodied the qualities we value most in a friend, teacher, and family member. He was an exemplary person of character who made a difference in the lives of everyone he served.
Each year, the Babcock Tribute Tree is set up in the Middle School Gymnasium to honor his legacy of kindness, connection, and community. Students and staff are invited to identify someone special in their lives—whether a family member, teacher, friend, community member, or loved one who has passed on—whom they would like to honor.
In tribute, they decorate a holiday ornament with the name or picture of that special person and hang it on the Babcock Tribute Tree. This beautiful tradition reflects gratitude, remembrance, and the strong sense of community that defines Sacaton.
