Board Members DB 2026

January is Governing School Board Members Month, a time to recognize the important role school board members play in ensuring strong, effective public education. Sacaton Elementary School District #18 proudly acknowledges the service and leadership of our School Board: President Karen White, Clerk Lucinda Hendricks, and Member Jane Johnson.

Public school boards matter because they:

  • Represent the community by reflecting local values, priorities, and voices

  • Set the vision and policies that guide district goals and decision-making

  • Ensure accountability for student achievement, finances, and legal compliance

  • Support student success through thoughtful oversight of programs and resources

  • Oversee district leadership by hiring and evaluating the superintendent

  • Manage public resources responsibly to ensure transparency and fiscal stewardship

  • Advocate for public education on behalf of students, families, and schools

  • Promote equity and access so all students have opportunities to succeed

We thank our School Board members for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving our students, staff, and community.
