Engage Embrace Contribute
Dear Sacaton Elementary Families,
Welcome to the beginning of 2026! We are excited to start the new year and look forward to a strong and successful second semester filled with engaging learning experiences for our students.
As we reflect on the first semester, we are proud of all that our students accomplished. We celebrated their hard work in the classroom, recognized student achievements and attendance, enjoyed family nights, and participated in events that showcased our students’ dedication and growth. These moments truly highlight the strong partnership between our school and families.
As we move into the second semester, our teachers are carefully analyzing student work and designing lessons that are both challenging and engaging. We will continue using IXL, our adaptive reading and math program, along with daily phonics and comprehension routines and small-group instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
We are also continuing our work with the EXCEL Model as part of Capturing Kids’ Hearts. This approach helps us strengthen positive relationships, support social-emotional learning, and create a school environment where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered to make positive choices.
Recently, students received a new Sacaton sweatshirt, and we love seeing their school pride! As a reminder, please ensure your child is following the school dress code. Students should wear a school shirt or a white, yellow, or purple shirt or polo top. Bottoms should be dark—navy blue or black. As the weather begins to warm, we will also be reinforcing our no-hoodie policy, so please help us prepare students for this transition.
As we continue striving to make Sacaton Elementary School an exceptional learning environment, we ask for your continued partnership by ensuring your child attends school every day. Consistent attendance allows students to fully benefit from instruction and sets them up for long-term success.
Thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to a productive, positive, and fulfilling second semester together!
Go Braves!
In partnership,
