Engage Embrace Contribute
Hello Sacaton Families,
As we head into the final quarter of the school year, I want to take a moment to say thank you for your continued support. Your partnership plays a vital role in helping our students finish the year strong, and we truly appreciate all you do.
This month, our Capturing Kids’ Hearts focus is Perseverance. Perseverance means continuing to work toward a goal even when challenges arise or when the task feels difficult. It encourages our students to stay committed, show resilience, and keep trying, even after setbacks. Through this focus, we are helping students build the confidence and determination needed to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
We are also incredibly proud to share that our school has been recognized as a National Showcase School for the second year in a row. This honor reflects the strong relationships, positive culture, and commitment to excellence that our staff and students demonstrate every day.
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we strongly encourage all families to prioritize daily attendance. Being at school every day is essential for student success, especially as we wrap up important learning. When possible, please schedule appointments after school hours or on days off to help minimize missed instructional time.
If your child will be absent, please notify the school in advance or as soon as possible on the day of the absence. This allows us to stay connected and provide support for your child. If we do not hear from you, we will follow up with a phone call, so please ensure your contact information is always current. If your phone number or address changes, be sure to notify the front office right away.
State Testing (AASA)
Our 3rd and 4th grade students are participating in the Arizona Academic Standards Assessments (AASA) in reading, writing, and math from April 6th–April 24th. Please try to avoid scheduling appointments during this time. Attendance and punctuality are especially important so students can do their best.
Helpful Reminders for Testing Success:
Ensure your child gets 9–11 hours of sleep each night
Encourage them to do their best
Help them arrive on time and stay all day
Thank you again for being such an important part of our school community. We appreciate your continued support!
