CelisHello Sacaton Families,

May is here, and with it, the final stretch of an incredible school year! As we count down the days, we’re filled with pride and excitement for everything our students and staff have accomplished.

BIG NEWS! We are proud to share that we’ve been named a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School for the second year in a row!

Sacaton Elementary has been recognized as a Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase School, an honor that highlights our strong, positive school culture and commitment to students. We were proud to share this recognition with Governor Lewis, Lt. Governor Antone, and Board President White as we added a new 2025–2026 heart to our banner in the gym, marking another year of this achievement. This recognition reflects the collective effort of our students, staff, and families, thank you for making it possible!

O’otham Himthag Thash Celebration

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s O’otham Himthag Thash such a meaningful and memorable experience. We were truly honored to welcome Governor Lewis and Lt. Governor Antone, whose presence added to the significance of our celebration.

This event would not have been possible without the dedication and support of our incredible staff, presenters, volunteers, and special guests. Your time, energy, and commitment helped create an experience that our students and community will carry with them long after the event.

Upcoming End-of-Year Activities & Events

Our calendar is bursting with fun and meaningful events to close out the year. From celebrations to testing, there’s something happening almost every day, so now more than ever, it's important for your child to be at school, every day. Our dedicated teachers are teaching bell to bell, right up until the very last day, and we don’t want any student to miss out!

End-of-Year Testing

Benchmark testing begins this week with NWEA Math and ELA and DIBELS. These assessments give us valuable insight into your child’s academic growth and allow us to compare their progress from the beginning of the year. We are confident we’ll see gains, and it’s all thanks to the hard work of our students and teachers!
