Just like in a game, reaching the next level requires teamwork, perseverance, practice, and a commitment to growth. This year, we will continue building on the strong foundation we have created by focusing on what matters most: strong relationships, academic growth, student success, and creating a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment for every Brave.

We are especially proud to continue our work as a National Capturing Kids’ Hearts (CKH) Showcase School. The relationships we build with students and families remain at the heart of everything we do. Through CKH strategies and our continued commitment to a positive school culture, we will ensure every student feels valued, connected, and ready to learn.

This year also marks an exciting milestone as we continue to grow together by keeping our 5th graders on the Sacaton Elementary campus. We are thrilled to continue serving our students through their elementary journey and provide them with the support, opportunities, and experiences they need as they prepare for the next chapter. Keeping our Braves together allows us to strengthen relationships, celebrate their growth, and ensure they are truly ready for the next level.

At Sacaton Elementary, our vision remains to provide educational delivery of the highest quality that is grounded in the O’otham Himthag. Together, we will continue to challenge our students, celebrate their progress, and empower them to reach new achievements.

Meet the Teacher

During Meet the Teacher Night, on July 23rd, families will have the opportunity to prepare for a successful start to the school year:

• Visit the gym to find class lists, pick up school uniform tops, connect with community partners, and receive important transportation information.

• Enjoy a delicious BBQ sandwich with your family in the cafeteria.

• Visit your child’s classroom and meet their teacher before the first day of school.

• Have registration questions? Our friendly office staff will be available to assist and help ensure everything is ready for a smooth start.

Dress Code

To help create a focused, respectful, and positive learning environment, all students are expected to follow our school dress code each day.

For the 2026–2027 school year, our school uniform colors will include navy blue, white, and gold. We are excited to introduce navy blue polo shirts and school shirts while beginning to phase out purple as part of our uniform options. Students may continue wearing white and gold polo shirts or school shirts paired with dark-colored bottoms.

School shirts will be provided during Meet the Teacher Night, where each student will receive three shirts to help start the school year prepared for success.

Please remember:

• Hoodies are not part of the school uniform and should not be worn during the school day.

• Clothing with inappropriate, distracting, or oversized logos is not permitted.

• Students should arrive each day dressed in a way that supports learning, pride, and success.

Arrival and Dismissal

As we prepare for the new school year, we will continue our staggered arrival and dismissal schedule with the middle school. This process was a major success last year and will remain in place to support a safe, organized, and efficient start and end to each school day.

Please remember that arriving on time helps students begin their day with clear expectations and a consistent routine. To maintain a smooth dismissal process, all early pick-ups must be completed before 3:00 PM. Pick-ups after 3:00 PM will need to wait until regular dismissal at the designated pick-up location.

Cell Phone Policy- Away for the Day

As we prepare for the new school year, we want to remind families of Sacaton Elementary School District’s cell phone and electronic device expectations. These guidelines are in place to support student learning, reduce distractions, and maintain a focused and productive school environment.

Students will not be permitted to carry or use cell phones or personal electronic devices during the school day. At the beginning of each day, students who bring a device to school will be required to check it in. Devices will be placed in a designated secure storage location and returned at the end of the school day.

Students are expected to follow this procedure each day. If a student does not follow the cell phone and electronic device expectations, the device will be removed and held for the day. Families will be responsible for picking up any device that is not retrieved according to school procedures. Repeated violations may result in additional consequences.

We understand families may need to communicate with their child during the school day. Parents and guardians should contact the front office, and we will assist with delivering important messages.
