Sacaton Elementary School District #18 is proud to announce the implementation of SuccessMaker Reading and SuccessMaker Mathematics beginning with the 2026–2027 school year. This initiative represents a significant investment in improving student achievement and ensuring every student has the opportunity to reach grade-level proficiency and beyond.
SuccessMaker is one of the nation's most respected adaptive learning systems. Built upon decades of educational research and continuously refined through classroom implementation, SuccessMaker is both research-based and evidence-based, using proven instructional practices to accelerate student learning while meeting the unique needs of each learner.
Unlike traditional intervention programs that provide the same lessons to every student, SuccessMaker continuously analyzes student performance and automatically adjusts instruction to provide individualized learning pathways. Students receive exactly the instruction they need at precisely the right level, allowing them to strengthen foundational skills while progressing toward grade-level standards.
Supporting Students with Learning Gaps
One of the greatest strengths of SuccessMaker is its ability to support students who have experienced significant learning gaps.
Whether a student is slightly below grade level or several years behind academically, SuccessMaker identifies the student's current instructional level and develops a personalized learning path designed to rebuild essential reading and mathematics skills. As students demonstrate mastery, the program continually advances them to increasingly rigorous instruction.
This individualized approach helps eliminate frustration, builds confidence, and allows students to experience measurable academic success.
District-Wide Expectations
Beginning this school year, Sacaton Elementary School District #18 will require the implementation of SuccessMaker in all applicable grade levels.
Students will be expected to complete a minimum of:
20 minutes of SuccessMaker Reading each school day
20 minutes of SuccessMaker Mathematics each school day
This daily instructional time is based upon national implementation recommendations demonstrating that consistent usage produces the strongest academic growth.
SuccessMaker is not intended to replace classroom instruction. Rather, it serves as a powerful instructional partner that complements high-quality teaching by providing additional personalized practice, intervention, and acceleration based on each student's individual needs.
What Parents Can Expect
Parents should expect to see their children receiving instruction specifically designed for their current academic level—not simply their grade level.
With consistent participation, families can expect students to:

Teachers will use SuccessMaker as part of the District's comprehensive instructional framework.
The program provides educators with detailed reports that identify:

SuccessMaker will also strengthen the District's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) by providing valuable data for Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III interventions while ensuring students receive individualized instruction aligned with their academic needs.
