On September 17, 2026, Sacaton Elementary School District #18 will host its first assembly of the school year: Must Be Present to Win!
This assembly will launch our 2026–2027 district mantra, Into the Future, and celebrate the students and staff members who are helping move our schools forward.
Every staff member will receive an 88 Miles Per Hour T-shirt. Students who achieve 10 consecutive days of attendance will earn one, too! The shirt will serve as the foundation of this year’s attendance incentive program and remind us that:
“Nothing changes if nothing changes.”
Students who have reached 20 consecutive days of attendance will be recognized and given an opportunity to win an additional incentive. We will also set our sights on the next milestones:
30 Days In-a-Row
Perfect Attendance
Next Level: 40 Days In-a-Row
Consistent, consecutive attendance gives students the continuity they need to build knowledge, reinforce skills and move learning into long-term memory. Simply put, coming to school every day is essential to accelerated learning.
Our students have already demonstrated remarkable progress. Three years ago, 38% of our students achieved 30 consecutive days of attendance. That increased to 76% the following year and reached an outstanding 93% last year.
Now it is time to reach the next level.
In the spirit of doing better, let’s get up to speed at 88 miles per hour, activate the “change” flux capacitor and move Sacaton Schools Into the Future!
Must Be Present to Win.
Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes.
The Future Changes When We Do.
