Dear Sacaton Elementary Families,
As we wrap up the first quarter, we are excited to celebrate the many accomplishments and special moments we have shared as a school community! Our students and staff have worked hard, and we are proud of the growth, learning, and school spirit.
Our student attendance has remained strong at 93%, our highest attendance rate so far this year. We are also continuing to see academic growth across grade levels, and we are grateful for the partnership of our families in supporting student success.
A special thank you to all of our families who joined us for Math and Literacy Night! It was wonderful to see our students and families learning, exploring, and having fun together. We were also thrilled to have our Spirit Team, Cheer and Drumline, perform during the evening! Their energy and school spirit helped make the night even more special.
Our Spirit Team has had an exciting start to the year! We were so proud of their special performance at the Skyline High School game. They represented Sacaton Elementary with enthusiasm, confidence, and incredible school spirit. We are looking forward to seeing them continue to grow and perform at future events. Way to go, Braves!
We were also grateful to welcome the Phoenix Symphony to our campus for a special woodwind performance for our students. Our students had a wonderful time experiencing live music and learning more about the instruments and musicians. We appreciate the opportunity to bring enriching experiences like this to our students and are thankful to the Phoenix Symphony for sharing their talents with our school.
We are also excited to celebrate our 1st Quarter College Cup Winners – Team ASU! Every student is a member of one of four local university teams—U of A, ASU, NAU, or GCU—and earns points for attendance, positive behavior, and academic progress. Congratulations to Team ASU, and a huge thank you to all of our students for their hard work, teamwork, and commitment to success!
As we move into the next quarter, we are excited for the many opportunities ahead. Thank you to our students, families, and staff for making Sacaton Elementary such a special place to learn and grow.
Go Braves!
