Athletic Department
This week marks our second week of athletics. On Monday our JV Boys team traveled to Stanfield MS and a home game on Wednesday against Villago MS. Our JV team continues to show great progress for next years varsity team.
On Wednesday, the boys varsity team matched up fairly well with Villago MS. Our boys kept within reach of Villago although came up short at the end.
The softball girls team was scheduled to play Villago MS on Wednesday although there had been some miscommunication with the league. Due to limited time of the season, we will not be able to reschedule the game.
On another note, Sacaton MS Track & Field traveled to Casa Grande MS for the beginning of the season meet. It was a perfect day to compete against all middle schools in the league. Events that Sacaton MS competed included: 100 m, 100 m hurdles, Shotput, Discus, and the Long Jump. We look forward to the students having a great Season.
Thank you to our coaches for putting in the extra hours teaching our students the sport and incorporating discipline into the game!

Tomorrow at 4:00 PM is our Community/Family Popcorn Extravaganza. Once again, the Popcorn Extravaganza is tomorrow, March 26, 2024 at 4:00 PM in the Middle School Gymnasium. Parent Teacher Conferences TODAY and TOMORROW! Early Release at 1 pm both days. Contact your child's teacher to schedule a conference - we are proud of our Sacaton Braves!
The Middle School had a fire alarm set off by contractors at approximately 1:30 PM today. The contractors were installing a video screen in the Middle School Gymnasium and inadvertently set off the alarm. The Middle School evacuated their buildings. The alarm was then released at and school resumed back to its regular schedule. Everyone is safe. Special thanks to the students and staff who executed the evacuation perfectly. Please know safety of our students and staff are our first priority.
