Today Sacaton traveled to Stanfield MS for their Softball and Basketball games. The softball team won 21-7, improving their overall record to 2 wins and 1 loss.
The boys' basketball teams also had a victory today against Stanfield. The score includes JV boys 21-9, with an overall record of 1 win and 2 losses. The Varsity boys won 38-7, with an overall record of 2 wins and 1 loss.
Tomorrow's home games will be against Cactus MS.

Also, Sacaton MS participated in their track & field meet at Casa Grande MS last week on Thursday. The following scores and place for individual athletes include:
Boys Discus- Hunter Jose throwing 70' 5", placing 2nd, D' Rey Mark throwing 56' 7", placing 4th
Girls Discus- Maeliyah Martinez throwing 55' 5 1/2", placing 1st.
Boys Shot Put- Hunter Jose throwing 29' 11", placing 2nd; D' Rey Mark throwing 25' placing 5th
Girls Shot Put- Maeliyah Martinez throwing 24' 2", placing 2nd
Girls Long Jump- Lilly Ann Schurz jumping 11' 3", placing 3rd

Good Afternoon Parents/Guardians,
Sacaton MS will begin with athletics this week Wednesday. Please be advised if your student did not participate in any sports this school year, he/she will need to complete a physical form with the physician's approval/signature. Also, your student will need to read with you the Athletic Handbook and sign the two pages at the end. Please make sure the two pages are signed by both student and parent/guardian.
I am sending home transportation forms to be completed and returned to Mr. Timms. This includes students that participated in sports during the school year.
We are looking forward to another quarter of good sportsmanship from both students and spectators. Your attendance and donations for the 3rd quarter was greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Athletic Department:
Parent & Guardian's, Sacaton MS will begin the 4th quarter sports season on Monday, March 17th. The students must provide their own transportation after practice for both Monday and Tuesday. We are looking to have bus transportation on Wednesday.
Just a Reminder, your student must have a completed physical packet on file with the Athletic Director before they are allowed to practice. Please have your child return the signed Athletic Handbook (Last 3 pages).

I had provided the Signal Peak League playoff schedule for the Girls JV basketball and Boys baseball. There had been changes with the baseball schedule. The girls JV schedule did not change.
