At 12:45 PM the School District was notified by local law enforcement that there was an altercation two blocks from the Middle School. Law enforcement requested that we go into lockdown. The District will remain in lockdown until the District is notified by law enforcement to do otherwise. Like always, safety of students and staff is our priority. Once again, we will hold in lockdown until law enforcements directs us to do otherwise.

Athletic Department
This week marks our second week of athletics. On Monday our JV Boys team traveled to Stanfield MS and a home game on Wednesday against Villago MS. Our JV team continues to show great progress for next years varsity team.
On Wednesday, the boys varsity team matched up fairly well with Villago MS. Our boys kept within reach of Villago although came up short at the end.
The softball girls team was scheduled to play Villago MS on Wednesday although there had been some miscommunication with the league. Due to limited time of the season, we will not be able to reschedule the game.
On another note, Sacaton MS Track & Field traveled to Casa Grande MS for the beginning of the season meet. It was a perfect day to compete against all middle schools in the league. Events that Sacaton MS competed included: 100 m, 100 m hurdles, Shotput, Discus, and the Long Jump. We look forward to the students having a great Season.
Thank you to our coaches for putting in the extra hours teaching our students the sport and incorporating discipline into the game!
