Today, our administration was made aware of a possible threat to local campuses in the area. As a precaution, administration, teachers and staff, along with local law enforcement, immediately investigated the situation. This process involved searches of backpacks and personal belongings, our school buses, the collection of cell phones, and individual checks with each student. Out of an abundance of caution, safety procedures were followed, and additional staff were present to ensure a secure middle school environment.
At this time, the situation has been resolved, and there is no ongoing threat to students or staff. We will continue to monitor the campus, and instruction has continued with minimal disruption. Cell phones were returned to students during lunch, and backpacks will be returned at the end of the day.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our students for their cooperation, our teachers and staff for their hands-on support, and local law enforcement for their partnership. At Sacaton Elementary School District, the safety of our students, staff, and campuses is our top priority, and we will continue to communicate transparently should further information become available.

Our Q1 sports season has officially begun! The Lady Braves are hosting Casa Grande Middle School TODAY at 4:30 p.m. We hope to see everyone out there cheering on our girls!
Important reminders for anyone attending our games:
• Athletes must be picked up by 6:30 p.m. (end of game) by a parent or guardian (no school bus is provided after home games).
• Parents and students must follow posted signage and remain in designated areas for home games.
• Sportsmanship is a BRAVE’S expectation—for both students and parents. Let’s have fun, show respect, and stay safe.
• Students attending games (who are not athletes) must have a signed permission slip turned into the office before the game. No slip = No game.
We’re excited to kick off the season and appreciate all the support for our athletes.
